TSB savings: Monthly Saver, Savings Pots, ISAs and fixed bonds

Important: This guide provides general information, not personalised financial advice. Financial products, rates and eligibility rules can change, so check the provider’s current terms before applying. You can check a firm’s details on the FCA Register.

FSCS protects eligible deposits up to £120,000 per person, per authorised institution.

Quick answer

TSB’s Monthly Saver paid 5.00% gross/AER fixed for 12 months on £25 to £250 a month, as of 4 October 2026. It’s only for TSB current account customers. Its Fixed Rate Bonds and Fixed Rate Cash ISA paid up to 4.75% for two- or three-year terms.

Easy-access options pay much less: Savings Pots 1.45% to 1.55% AER and eSavings or Easy Saver from 1.00% variable.

Who it’s for

  • TSB current account customers who can save a regular amount each month
  • Savers with a lump sum they can lock away for two or three years
  • People who want a branch-backed Cash ISA

Who should skip it

These are general points to weigh up, not advice. You may want to look elsewhere if:

  • You don’t want a TSB current account — the Monthly Saver needs one
  • You want a high easy-access rate — TSB’s are low
  • You might need your money early from a Fixed Rate Bond — no early withdrawals are allowed

Full explanation

If you can only save from your monthly income, a regular saver can beat easy access. Try the numbers in our savings growth calculator.

Interest outside an ISA counts towards your Personal Savings Allowance. Our ISA vs savings account guide explains when that matters.

The catch

A regular saver’s headline rate applies to each payment only from the day it goes in, so the interest over the year is roughly half what the rate suggests on your final balance.

Save Well Limited Access pays 3.00% AER variable but withdrawals reduce the interest earned that month.
