NatWest business account: fees, features and catches

Important: This guide provides general information, not personalised financial advice. Financial products, rates and eligibility rules can change, so check the provider’s current terms before applying. You can check a firm’s details on the FCA Register.

Quick answer

NatWest offered two years of free everyday business banking when you switch using the full Current Account Switch Service (turnover up to £2 million), as of 3 October 2026. FreeAgent accounting software is free with a NatWest business current account.

NatWest Group also runs Mettle, a free app-based account (optional Mettle+ at £4 a month).

Who it’s for

  • Established businesses switching from another bank
  • Businesses that will use FreeAgent
  • Owners wanting branch access

Who should skip it

These are general points to weigh up, not advice. You may want to look elsewhere if:

  • You aren’t switching — the two-year offer is for full CASS switchers
  • Your turnover is over £2 million
